About

With over 25 years of experience in the media industry, I am a photographer primarily specialising in news and sports.

I am currently freelancing for the Australian Associated Press and Getty Images. Besides this, I work for regular clients including the Dubai Tennis Championship and Yas Marina Circuit, hosts of the Abu Dhabi F1 Championship in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

My journalism career started in India with Scorp News, Chennai where I got my basic photography and dark room lessons. George Francis my friend, mentor and teacher made me believe that I can make a career out of photojournalism. Soon after, I moved to the UAE in pursuit of a newspaper career, where my first stint was as a sports journalist. When the opportunity came for me to return to photograhy, I took it with both hands and haven’t looked back since.

During my 12 year stay in the Gulf, I had the privilege to work with the region’s largest circulated paper, Gulf News, Dubai, and The Gulf Today, Sharjah. I also worked as a stringer for Reuters Middle East during this period. Towards the end of my stint in the Middle East I was also fortunate to freelance alongside Jorge Ferrari, one of the leading photographers in the entire Gulf region. Together we covered a variety of assignments for high profile clients in the UAE and abroad.

After moving to Australia in 2009, I began working for Northern Territory News in Darwin. Later in 2011, when I moved down south to Adelaide, I started stringing for Thomson Reuters and Getty Images on a regular basis. In 2013, I returned to News Corp Australia when I took a full-time role as a senior photographer with The Cairns Post in Far North Queensland. Before finally joining The Gold Coast Bulletin in 2014, when an opportunity presented itself to relocate to the South East corridor of Queensland.

A major restructuring process within News Corp Australia in 2017 put an end to my full-time career with the company, as several talented photographers, journalists and designers were made redundant across the country. Since then, I have remained on the Gold Coast where I continue to freelance for existing and new clients.

I will bring to you my vast experience and expertise should you choose me for any work. I'm available for news, sports, weddings, portraits and special assignments. Please do not hesitate to contact me at anytime.
